Team days and client hosting

A team day that people actually talk about afterwards

Most team outings end up in a restaurant or an escape room. A fleet of private electric boats is a different proposition: everyone drives, nobody is a passenger, and the whole group is on the water together at six miles per hour with nowhere to be.

Because every boat is self-captained, there is no skipper to schedule around and no licence requirement to worry about. That matters more than it sounds — it means nobody on your team is excluded, and you do not need to find one qualified person to carry the whole group.

Run it as a straightforward afternoon on the water, or use it as an offsite: four boats travelling together on the same stretch of estuary, stopping alongside each other to talk. Alameda works well for larger groups because we can put four boats in the water at once; Sausalito suits smaller, quieter client evenings.

Up to 40 guests

Four boats, one marina

Each Duffy Suncruiser and Old Bay carries up to 10 guests. Book four and your whole group is on the same stretch of water, within sight of each other, for the same two or three hours.

No licences

Nobody is left on the dock

No boating licence and no California Boater Card are required. Any team member 21 or older with a valid driver's licence can drive, so the group splits naturally without anyone being sidelined.

Questions

Corporate event FAQs

Each boat carries up to 10 guests. We can run up to four boats side by side from Grand Marina in Alameda, so groups of around 40 can travel together on the same stretch of water. Larger groups can be split across two time slots.

No. Bae Boats boats are self-captained and no licence or California Boater Card is required — the driver must be 21 or older with a valid driver's licence. Every driver receives a safety briefing and a map of the approved cruising area before departure.

Yes. Client hosting is one of the most common reasons companies book with us. A private electric boat is unusual enough to be memorable, and low-key enough that nobody feels they are being sold to.

Yes. Mosley's Café at Grand Marina will deliver charcuterie and picnic boxes to the dock in Alameda, and FISH in Sausalito offers a coastal picnic menu. Many teams bring their own catering instead — the picnic tables on board make that straightforward.

Yes. Email nico@baeboats.com with your group size, preferred date and location, and we will send an invoice and a booking confirmation for the whole group.
