Richardson Bay, and the best hour on the water
Bae Boats opened at Clipper Yacht Harbor in 2024 so that guests on the north side of the Bay could reach Richardson Bay without crossing the bridge. From the dock the bay opens almost immediately: a sheltered, shallow inlet between Sausalito and Belvedere Island, sheltered from the worst of the ocean swell and remarkably rich in wildlife.
Within minutes you pass the famous Sausalito floating homes — a community of houseboats clinging to the waterfront — and the distinctive architecture of Belvedere Island on the far shore. Seabirds work the shallows, stingrays and harbour seals cruise the eelgrass beds beneath you, and dolphins are sighted often enough that regular guests keep a camera ready.
Turn south and the San Francisco skyline sits across the Bay; look west and the Golden Gate Bridge rests on the horizon. It is the most scenic stretch of water we operate on, which is why Sausalito is the only location where we offer a one-hour cruise — an easy introduction that fits into a morning or an afternoon in town.

Cancellations inside 24 hours and no-shows are charged in full. If Bae Boats cancels because of weather or an unforeseen issue, you choose a full refund or a credit.
